A little rusty but bright none the less. This will save me loads of time this winter.
Back story;
My house is on a major road, my driveway can fit 5 cars comfortably and on top of that the bottom of my driveway is WIDE. Also due to my home office the shoulder is just as wide to comfortably accommodate client parking (you can swing you door open fully with space to spare)
During the winter months the bottom of the driveway can take me a good hour due to the heavy snow/slush that builds up from our towns excellent DOT (I mean it, they are excellent), and the shoulder, for get about it, I don’t even bother, when the season changes is when the shoulder is available again.
Never again. A good friend of mine let me take this off his hands for FREE, It needs a little love, but I love to tinker so I’ll be 100% in no time. Its an 85 Honda TRX 125cc and it will be a big help keeping the bottom 15ft of the driveway as well as the shoulder clean, and save my back for the gym.
For the record I love snow, and all the things that come with it, shoveling is a pleasure, but its a time expense that I cant afford like I used to.

I like this so much. I would totally plow the whole neighborhood to play with that!

I’m waiting on a new tank, the current one has been patched one to many times. Already changed the battery, and the spark plug, waiting on the tank to try and turn it over. An oil change will happen while I wait on the tank. Over the summer I’ll clean it up, freshen up the frame paint etc. Maybe even powder coat it all.

I always help my neighbor who also happens to be my uncle lol. So I’ll be putting it to work, and be having a blast at the same time.

Any plans for chains for the tires? My old boss used to have contracts with a few places to plow them with his four wheeler since it could get in tighter spaces than a truck.

Not sure, I used it once before (6 years ago), and it seemed to do fine without chains, but lets see how a whole season pans out.

You may need to check/adjust valve lash and cam chain tension. You’ll know after it’s running. If the valves are out of adjustment they’ll be very “chatty”.

My grandfather has had an 80’s Honda TRX 250 for as long as I can remember. While it’s not the quickest, or most comfortable, it’s been dead reliable forever. While just about every other quad we’ve gone through (Mostly newer Hondas- a Rancher, Foreman, there’s also been a Polaris Scrambler along the way) except for the fairly new Yamaha Grizzly, has gone through some sort of major repair, the TRX to my memory has never really needed anything major. Plus the super wide rears make it a pretty good trail rider, even as a meager 2WD.
